The double stack frame call you've been waiting on! These calls come with .0025, .003, .004 Latex reeds in the thinnest reed separation of the stacks being only about .055 inch. Stack frames greatly reduce the sticking together of the reeds allowing for you to be ready for that very necessary cold call!  They also have greater volume, rasp and tone without the need for cutting the reeds.

yOUTH fRAME CALLS !!

These small frame calls are not just for kids!  Many hunters have told me that they just can't find diaphragm calls small enough for their mouth thereby limiting their call choices. They are especially hampered by not being able to call on a close tom without moving.

These calls come in single and double reed with either .003 or .004 Latex reeds.

Since my introduction to the sport of turkey hunting at the age of 13 it immediately became my favorite sport. Since that time I have used virtually every thing I could get my hands on to make a yelp. Early on, I was introduced to the stack frame call and it immediately became clear to me that this was the type of call to beat. 30 plus years, and many turkeys later, it remains at the top of my list and virtually all of the best turkey hunters I know.

At first glance, the stack frame calls' most obvious difference is the amount of separation between the latex reeds. The first advantage is easy to see; the reeds don't stick together like the standard calls. There is no need to, "warm up," or wet your call to separate the reeds. Just pop it in and call! The separation also allows for more reverberation of each reed without dampening by the other reeds. This aspect of the call is easily heard in the raspiness, tone, and volume. I also believe this gives off frequencies that we can not hear above that of the single frame calls. Many times I have been with hunting buddies that just couldn't make that old Tom sound off like the stack frame could. It's like two or three callers sounding off in perfect harmony! Another thing I noticed is that my companions would not stand in front of me for long while I was calling as this was terribly piercing to their ears but the turkeys can hear it at great distance and in wind. I have seen turkeys gobble in fields to my call at more than half a mile and no chance of me hearing him gobble! I have also had friends in the woods tell me a turkey was answering me that I could not hear. Another advantage is that you can achieve the rasp you need without cutting the reeds, reducing the durability and life of the call.

The main complaint heard about stack frame calls is regarding the thickness being uncomfortable. My first stack frame call was a triple stack. I learned to deal with it, but at 14 years old, it was quite a mouth full ! We asked my father to talk to his call making friend about making a double stack for us. He was hesitant at first since the triple was his claim to fame, but bowed to our begging and delivered the double stack we requested. This later would become one of his best sellers.  Many years before my Legendary call maker and good friend passed away, he was willing to impart to me the knowledge, materials, tools and, "recipes," that made him a legend. I began making my hand-made calls for family and close friends, using the techniques and materials given me by him.

As my brother and I continued to kill turkeys and introduce many to turkey hunting we also introduced many to the magic of the stack frame call. ALL LOVED THE SOUND; half could handle the call. I began to vary my calls in thickness to be more user friendly to the masses. This also allowed those who could use the stack frame calls more call variation when afield. I also make several single frame calls including a line of youth calls that allow more choices and a call for  anyone who wishes to use a mouth call. All of my single frame, multi-reed calls come with reed separators.

The result is a line of hand-made calls that is unmatched in rasp, tone, volume, variations and ease of use.

If you can't find what you need I also make custom calls to order!
